AWARD
CRITERIA
The C. Colburn Hardy
Older Advocate Award honors an individual who practices the
values articulated by C. Colburn Hardy when he wrote:
“Hopefully, some of the
projects in which I was involved helped to make the world a
better place in which to work, to live, to love and to have
our being.”
The individual
nominated should meet most, if not all, of the criteria for
the Award:
•
An individual, preferably an older citizen,
residing fulltime in the State of Florida.
• An
individual who has consistently made major and
significant contributions to policies, programs and
services for older Americans. Activities could range
from policy-making to new program development to
significant service improvements and should have
statewide impact.
•
An individual who advocates for services and
programs for seniors, in both the public and private
sector.
•
An individual who demonstrates vision, advocacy and
leadership regarding the future of services for the
growing aging population in the State of Florida.
